A Girl Name Ella

 One of my IU10 memories 

Around late 1993 ... typo ... 1991

I know a girl named Azlin. Initially, most of us called her Azlin... well, the boys anyway ... typically, when I see her around the academic, she would just hang around, in her baju kurung, beg and clutching the folder in front, her slightly frizzy long hair tied by at the back. Just like that.

Until, ...

One night, most of the gang I was hanging out with were chilling .. when Azlin appeared as well ... blue jeans, white shirt, and the hair was not ikat and flowing freely ... someone blurted out, " .. woo mcm Ella .. " .. she laughed it off ... and the next day, the hair was not ikat again ... and Azlin became Ella :D ...

Yang pasti, me and her are 'Aku Budak Minang' :D ... kira okaylah tu ...

Masa tahun 1991, mid year I think ... baru je lulus lesen memandu on the third attempt ... so habis kelas, I was telling my two lady friends ... let's call them S n A,  about it. 

A: " ok.. then u drive us back to Sek 18 la ... both of us ..."

Me: " can2 .... jom"

Went to the car park dekat blok flat sek 17 outside PPP. The black car was there.

Masuk keta, A front passenger side, S duduk belakang.

It was a whirlwind ride ... hahaha...

Sampai kt parking luar asrama di Sek 18 ... I think they had the time of lives ... :D

S: " I dont think I want to ride when you drive again .. "

A: *speechless*

All and all .... would never forget that experience .... :D 

Today (11/7) is A's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY :D

Masa tu baru masuk PPP/ITM a few months. Someone introduced masa we were lepakking there. In between classes kot.

Me : " Oh, nama u Ainu eh?"

She : "Yes"

Me: " Ainu tu nama native people of Japan, kat utara "

She: " Ha ah ... tahu2 " 

I am sure, as usual, I was doing to impress the ladies ... that story is for another day. ;)

One of my Aida Memories featuring CMB

 Today 4th of July is her birthday so I thought I should write down one of my Aida memories :D

In February 1992, Color Me Badd came down to Kuala Lumpur for a concert. They were happening at that time, on the back of their debut album. One of the IU10 lecturers, Ms Simmons, if I am not mistaken, was a friend of the tour manager. So, with her help, a bunch of my IU10 friends, including Aida, who went to the show, went backstage after the show, to meet them, and they did. I remembered Aida about this moment because she was chatting a bit with one of the group, Mark Calderon, at that time, from eyewitness accounts. Nah, I wasn't there ... when I heard the story, I was like ... "Cool :D" ... I would have done the same thing )

When CMB came back here for a second time, to promo their 3rd album, I finally got a chance to see them perform. Yep, still sounded great :)
