 day 1 - 29 October 

BBB --- Changlun

Hari pertama, me n Vi pergi ke rumah Errol untuk transfer the luggage and the bicycles into Errol's ford ranger.

Destination adalah Changlun, the pekan next to the border town of Bukit Kayu Hitam.

Had a stop for dinner at Aloq Setaq, makan at Restoran Yasmeen.

Arrived at the tempat tido, a small resort, Changlun Chalet,  in Changlun,  just before midnight.

The plan next day is to cross the border at Bukit Kayu Hitam, masuk Danok and onwards in South Thai country :)

Day 2 - October 30

Bukit Kayu Hitam - Danok - Hatyai - Surat Thani

Three Movies in 2005 When I left Dell

For 3 months in 2005, I worked at Dell Penang. It was an unusual experience, suffice to say, I rather wanna forget about it that much.

But, in the last month, June 2005, I watched these three movies... Major hits as well, and when I see them anytime, mesti trigger zaman Dell :p

Robin Hood, Bryan Adams and Bas Stand Klang

One of my earliest kenangan of PPP life happened in my early weeks as a student there.

One weekend, me and Errol went to watch Kevin Costner's Robin Hood Prince of Thieves at Rex KL. You know that movie due to that Bryan Adams song, Everything I Do (I Do It 4 U), the megahit. 

After the movie, we caught the last bus to Shah Alam Sek 18, from the famous bus stand klang. It's not there anymore, the Pasar Seni MRT station is, but it used to be the hub of KL intra travel.

Dalam bus, terjumpa la a few iu10 guys as well, budak2 track 2. I was excitedly chattering to them about how cool the movie was, a bit noisy. Errol tried to calm me down masa tu :p

Hence the post title :)

 This event happened in the year that my friend, the pilot, el Capitan Megat got married.

Sometime that year, I met Hana, Megat's future sister in law.. now current la, at rumah VI Bdr Tasik Permaisuri, at a makan2 that Vi azel did. Oklah, immediately I was attracted..so borak sikit2 dengan dia. Masa tu she was a law student at UM if am not mistaken.

As usual, my angau went overdrive :p and I think it was obvious a bit, esp to Errol. So, the gang including yours truly was invited to elKapitan majlis in Alor Setar. I was going there with Errol in his Alfa, and it was agreed that he would pick me up at templer before naik ke Utara.

On night before trip, I texted Errol told him that I wasn't going. Of course, he was like disappointed la, but I kind got cold feet of possibly meeting Hana there in Alor Setar. Ahaks, cold feet.

The next morning, I called Errol and told him that I was going. And then later text him tak jadi. Then later text him am going. And later text him I am going. A few times this happened, until Errol replied, " kau pergi ke tak pergi, I am picking you up karang!"

So, yeah, he did pick me up later that day, in his Alfa. Kena kutuk tu standard la : D

We arrived at Megat's house around late petang. Majlis kenduri kat luar rumah tu dah over, so we went inside.

The pengantin were taking pics posing kt ruang tamu, then I saw her.

Dressed in gorgeous sky blue kebaya, leaning against a pillar, watching the picture taking session, she saw me, gave a look and said these words, " I thought you were not coming." 

THUNDERBOLT.

that was the only feeling I can describe :) nothing really mattered at that moment. I can barely remembered what I said, something about things, etc. but I ingat at that moment I wore my Kobe 2000 hrc cap, my adidas NZ all black jersey and jeans.

It was a blur what happened after that. We talked for a short while, then she had to join the family photo session. 

And the guys, Ace n Errol, had a good laugh when I told them masa tu : p siap tanya megat tu whether she was single masa tu. She was, katanya, and it upped my hopes, kononnya la. 

Malam tu we slept at Seri Malaysia, Alor Setar.

Lepas tu? Nah, nothing happened la .. not for a lack of effort, tp she was not interested. Later, she got married to another guy, and now she is a lawyer, working for the Feds : D 

But for that thunderbolt moment, I will always remember her :)

Selamat Tinggal Arwah Eda

 I am a friend of Eda, but not a very close friend. But, I remembered her. This post is about what I remember about her.

In kolej KPP ITM, where we first met .. 1991. She was from the other English Accel class. The first thing I noticed about her is how she looks at you when talking, a sideways eye view I call it ;) she was the only one who did so, even till now.

As with my college mate friends, betul2 kawan after balik from USA. She went to DePaul University, Chicago, kt midwest.

Balik Malaysia,  one of her first kerja was nearby my old office actually. I was working in Wisma Semantan, she worked at Maybank nearby, tge Bkt Damansara branch. She got married to Sulla and had two boys. The only I remember about her wedding was it was held in a restaurant, because I didn't go.

Notable memories

• Visited her n hubby kedai accessories hotel at Sg Buloh.
• Asked her about the reasons why she n hubby moved to Perlis.
• Met her and family a few times di Perlis
• Hubby story about how they got married.

A bit on her background, rupanya dia mmg lama di Perlis masa her childhood as her dad worked there. And her final resting place is there as well.

From her friends, she was always the supportive and sweet friend that everyone néeds.

To her husband, she was his best proposal :)
